The Adult Content Affiliate Network

Where Adult Content Affiliates Come to learn Marketing Skills

To answer my own question so far yes. There is alot of money out there but a ton of people trying to get it. I have also found out that these providers don't much give a damn if you promote their stuff or not, seems they figure if not you someone else will. A couple of things. First off.....

Do not over estimate your importance to any one of these providers. Case in point I became affiliated with a new start up "Adult Facebook",one of many it seems. I put their banner smack dab top dead center of my page, which gets between 1800 and 2000 uniques a day and was their top free join getter inside of a week. Yay me right? Wrong I get an email telling me as their top join getter I will recieve $50.00 for the month while someone else had gotten 5 paying joins and made $1500.00, incentive I guess. Well I send them an email requesting information on how to convert these to paying joins and I may have been a little less than diplomatic being as I felt slighted. I told them if I was not able to convert the free joins to paying ones I would have to remove their banner because that spot was far too valuable for $50.00 a month. What did I get, no response and even checking back a week later and they had maybe 5 more new people they did not care. I guess my point is these people usually have money, unlike most of us, and can afford to be patient and are.

One more quick example then I have to go to my 9-5 cause ain't quite making it on line yet( eagerly awaiting Chris' book). With another provider I found I had 40k hits for the year and about 5-6 joins whatever it came out to about 1:6700 hit to joins. While thes companies promise 40-50 bucks per free join, which is unrealistic because how would they make money, everyone scrambles to get the banners and links up. I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer and working full time and doing this in the rest of my time I fail to read the "fine print", and trust me there is always some. To them I made a simple request could I please have a 3 day trial subscription to what they concidered their top sites so I would be better informed on how to promote their stuff, once again zero response. 40 THOUSAND HITS and they don't even respond yet I get an auto email a day with links to their sites. Now 40k hits may be low I don't know but to me it seems like a lot and they don't even have the time to say yes or no. And in my opinion, unless you have just signed on as an affiliate, this should be a given I am not some guy signing up as an affilate to get free content.

Look I am not trying to scare people off, quite the opposite. I am giving you some examples of what has happened to me. I have left the names of these providers out for now, pending further review, always willing to give people a chance to redeem themselves. But if like me you don't have original content, an inside track, or are not some super coder and have found your way here, I am hoping to be informative. I have tried other adult webmaster forums and they talked over my head, were less than patient, and sometimes brutal with their"advice". I am a novice and maybe some of you are too, there are affilates out there making money I just need to know how. So hopefully this forum will allow us to help each other to get a slice of the pie.

Keep on your track. But remember, everytime you send hits to these sites it helps to increase their search engine ranking by making the site more popular. Basically, why do they give a shit about your 3 day pass if you are sending 40k hits a month to them? Maybe try a little reverse psychology? Try telling them all about the hits you are sending their way, ask them to verify it on their end. Then maybe threaten to remove their link and watch their popularity plummit? Just a thought. You may want to check Alexa on them first. If you have to resort to removing your link, it would be pretty nice to see just how far down they go!

Another thing you may want to try, is to approach other webmasters with your stats on traffic. This MAY entice them to be a little more open in the communications department with you should you decide to become an affiliate of that particular site.
